Our Team

Family Owned & Operated Since 1978

Serving Nevada since 1978 and California since 1991, Advance Installations. is a diversified company with two divisions. General Contracting and a hazardous abatement division which is comprised of three specialties: Asbestos Abatement, Lead Abatement, and Microbial/Bacterial Remediation.

In the early days Advance Installations installed sprayed on fireproofing, insulation, drywall, texture and paint. It was during this time that federal regulations halted the use of asbestos in these building materials and many more. Advance installed asbestos-free products, but through Ed Davis’s awareness, he was the first to search out training in the proper procedures used for testing and abatement. Ed Davis became the first abatement contractor to become OSHA licensed in Nevada. Lead products were the next items requiring abatement. Sick buildings were also a concern and each year that people became more aware of the illnesses attributed to airborne mold spores, remediation work began to increase. Abatement work is performed by trained, certified experienced supervisors and crews who receive annual refresher training to keep informed of the latest regulations and abatement techniques.

Advance Installation’s general contracting division has become very successful. When clients take the time to write letters on a job well done, we know that we have all of the right people in the right positions to produce successful projects. All contracting operations are conducted by experienced managers, estimators and supervisors. Over the years Advance Installation’s team has performed projects ranging from simple remodels to large complex new construction. Historical renovations are becoming prevalent and offer the type of challenges that we can appreciate. We are proud to have several companies on our client list that offer years of repeat business, and that speaks volumes in favor of a contractor’s ability.

We feel that we have a little more to offer than most general contractors, since we have our own abatement division. This experience is critical in the performance of restoration work, additions and remodel work. We have the ability to recognize a potential hazardous material before it is disturbed. We are able to take the proper precautionary steps, thus saving the owner from a contaminated building and possible lawsuits.
Project safety is paramount for all concerned. We have a safety program in place, as well as a “zero tolerance” drug and alcohol program. We feel these programs are important to our clients and insure safe job sites for our workers, subcontractors and the owner.

Home Restoration — Edward A. Davis in Nevada, CA
Ed oversees all corporate operations and has been directly involved in all aspects of the abatement and general contracting divisions since 1978. In the early years his company installed wet spray fireproofing/sound control insulation, blown in insulation, drywall and paint. At that time Ed was aware of the health hazards of asbestos and only installed asbestos free products. He also realized the need for complete asbestos identification services so Ed established his consulting firm "Asbestos Control Management" in 1987 after receiving specialized training in bulk sampling, inspection, and management planning and project design. As other consultants became available in the area, Ed decided to offer yet another much needed service....asbestos abatement. He became the first OSHA licensed abatement contractor in Nevada. (License number C0001). Ed and his abatement crews received their initial training and refresher courses annually thereafter, offering the most current, state-of-the-art removal methods. As lead and mold health issues became apparent, he and his crews trained in the proper removal methods for these hazards. In 1991 he activated his general contractor’s license, performing everything from small remodels, building additions, historical renovations and new construction of small commercial buildings.
